Three Decker Diner

Do you see the Diner logo reflecting in the window! =)

In this artistic endeavor, I wanted to create a Sci-Fi Fiona Apple. I didn't quite capture her look, but I think I might have her essence! The background I did not plan, it was fun watching it develop. I definitely want to incorporate more ink colors in my ink drawings, I think it makes them pop more. I am happy I decided to use complimentary colors of red and green.

I drew this with black ink pens by Derwent. A jumbo rainbow pencil for the frame. I used an ink pen with multiple colors: red, green, and blue.

I wonder if there are pens that have primary colors? Red, Yellow, and Blue so you can make mixes. I think it would be even cooler to have a multi-pen option with Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow colors too. Yellow ink is rare to come by, but as a mixing agent, it can be quite useful to make a wider range of colors.

The mention of diners unleashes a reel of 80s music videos in my mind, evoking a sense of nostalgia and comfort unique to these establishments. In my childhood, the frequency of diner visits left me somewhat disinterested due to the repetitive options. However, as an adult, there's an undeniable solace in the familiarity of diners, where the assurance that my order will align with expectations brings a sense of comfort.

At Three Decker Diner, the bustling atmosphere often finds me hesitating to claim a table for solitary endeavors like drawing or reading, cognizant of the potential impact on the available space for larger groups of patrons. Yet, in those rare moments of tranquility when the diner adopts a quieter demeanor, I seize the opportunity. Approaching the attentive waitstaff, I seek their permission to indulge in the pleasure of creativity at my table. Remarkably, the response is often one of encouragement, instantly elevating my experience and dispelling any reservations I may have had.
